Universal Suffrage

You may be surprised to know that America does not have Universal Suffrage - not every adult can vote - but they should be allowed to.

Democracies work best when the most people vote.
We believe every adult citizen in the US should be allowed to vote.

Depending on the state, those convicted of a crime may be prohibited from voting, as may some homeless people. This should change.

As with many things in our country, while some people may technically be allowed to vote, in practice, many are de facto prohibited, or their votes are not counted. This includes students, military personnel, the handicapped, and others.

This is wrong.

All adult citizens should be allowed to vote, and all the votes should be counted.
