Why should voters in Vermont and Wyoming have more than three times the votes of people in Texas and California?

It’s undemocratic!

The Electoral College needs to be abolished. It was a bad idea at the start, and it’s a bad idea now. Every argument in favor of it is based on a lie or is anti-democratic: people vote - states don’t, small states don’t get more voice or campaign stops from this - only “battleground” states do, and the Founding Fathers’ fear of the “tyranny of the majority” is undemocratic.

It will likely take a Constitutional Amendment to change this, but there is another way.
